Cabbage Patch Adoption

Big sister Emma really wanted to give Niah an African American cabbage patch kid for her birthday so they would each have one to play with. It was so sweet to listen to them play. They brought all their clothes down and packed them in little bags. They then pretended to fly on an airplane for a long long time. Finally, they arrived in Ethiopia to meet their little girls. Their scene of meeting their new "babies" was so sweet and I pray mine goes as well as their imagined game. After picking up their girls they got to go to a hotel for a week and get to know their new children. Have I mentioned how much I love that our decision to adopt has broadened our children's world view. Never could I have imagined my children playing this game and it was so amazing to watch! They are really beginning to have a desire to help others in need. I feel like they are also realizing that children across the world are just the same as children across the street. "Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow." Isaiah 1:17

  2. That is so sweet. I'm sure your two little girls will be such a big help when your new little one arrives and Jason will be so happy to be a big brother:)
